Carolyn Sutton Obituary

Carolyn Ann Blakeney Sutton, a beacon of love and strength, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2024, in Pageland, South Carolina, after a valiant battle with breast cancer. Born on June 6, 1957, in Monroe, North Carolina, Carolyn's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the enduring spirit of family.
Carolyn's journey through life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her loved ones. She was the cherished wife of David Sutton, with whom she shared a beautiful and enduring partnership. Together, they raised three wonderful children, Sharon (Shantea) Anthony, David Jr Sutton., and James (Teressa) Sutton. Carolyn's role as a mother was one she embraced with her whole heart, guiding her children with a gentle hand and a loving spirit.
Her life's joy was magnified with the arrival of her ten grandchildren, Montrel, Desire', Nikeria, Aaliyah, Jaylynn, Lamont, Daijah, Breonna, Ciarra, and Tamaya. Each grandchild was a precious gift, and Carolyn took immense pride in their every accomplishment and dream. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Skylar and Noelle, who brought additional light and laughter into her world. Carolyn's nurturing nature extended beyond her immediate family to her nieces and nephews, whom she adored. She was a constant presence in their lives, offering wisdom, support, and unconditional love.
Before retiring, Carolyn was a respected and dedicated employee at a local manufacturing company, where she was known for her strong work ethic and friendly demeanor. She made lifelong friends and left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of working alongside her.
Carolyn was a woman of faith, finding comfort and guidance in her spiritual beliefs. Her church community was a source of strength and fellowship throughout her life, and she contributed in countless ways, always eager to lend a hand or offer a prayer.
Those who knew Carolyn will remember her for her incredible cooking skills, her infectious laughter, and the warmth of her presence. She had an uncanny ability to make every person feel special and loved. Her home was a haven where friends and family gathered, and her legacy of hospitality and generosity will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
As we bid farewell to Carolyn Ann Blakeney Sutton, we do so with a deep sense of gratitude for the time we were privileged to share with her. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, courage, and grace. Though she has left this earthly realm, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.
Carolyn's family will hold a private ceremony to honor her memory and celebrate her life. Her light will forever shine brightly in the memories of those who loved her, and she will be profoundly missed. We find solace in the knowledge that her legacy of love will endure through the generations, a timeless reminder of a life well-lived.
